The Jewish Cemetery of Brno – founded in 1852, a protected national monument, the largest Jewish cemetery in Moravia, c. 12,000 graves. The cemetery is still in use. Graves of notable personalities of the Moravian past can be visited here.
Opening hours: during the summer season (from April to October) Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Fridays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During the winter season (from November to March) the cemetery closes one hour earlier.

The Skořepka Synagogue – a Modern Movement style synagogue built according to a project by Arch. Otto Eisler in 1936. The only synagogue in current use in Moravia. A protected national monument.

The Jewish Cemetery of Holešov – founded probably in the 16th century, the oldest readable tombstone dating back to 1647. The cemetery comprises at least 1,000 tombstones. It is possible to visit the grave of rabbi Sabatai Meir ha-Kohen, called Šach (Shah). An unguided tour is possible or the guide from the Shah Synagogue can be available upon a prior appointment.

The Shah Synagogue – which belongs among the world unique landmarks, is the only preserved synagogue of the so-called Polish design characteristic by the decoration in floral, fruit and animal motifs. A guided tour.
Opening hours: during the winter season (March and October) Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, during the summer season (May to September) daily except Mondays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The Baťa Canal – a waterway, nowadays used for tourist purposes only. The canal’s length is 60 km, from Otrokovice to Sudoměřice. The difference of level on this waterway is compensated with the 13 sluices (lock chambers) measuring 5,3 x 38 (50) m. The waterway also features 13 water-raising dams. The Baťa Canal is 12 m deep on average. There are 50 bridges spanning over the waterway, many of them unique technical landmarks.
